MUMBAI: Premiere of Bollywood flick 'Rock On!!' which is a story of four friends out to re-create their passion for music and art as they finally begin to live out their dream by forming a rock band was held in the Indian entertainment capital, Mumbai on Thursday (August 28).

Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani have jointly produced the film 'Rock On!!' while Abhishek Kapoor directs it.

Abhishek Kapoor's film stars Prachi Desai, Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli, Luke Kenny, Shahana Goswami and Koel Puri.

Farhan Akhtar made his debut as a director and a writer with a box-office hit 'Dil Chahta Hai' in the year 2001. The film later bagged National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi.

'Rock On!!' being her debut film, Actress Prachi Desai admitted being quite nervous before the film's release.

"More than excited I'm a little nervous because right now the feeling has just sunk in till now I was just waiting for the film's release but finally it has released and I'm here so I'm more nervous," said Prachi Desai.

Speaking to the media model-turned-actor Arjun Rampal said that he was experiencing all sort of emotions prior to the release of the film.

"I'm very excited because we have worked so hard on the film and today the day has come when so many people will be watching the film so I'm excited, nervous and am experiencing all sorts of emotions," said Arjun Rampal.

Trio of Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani and Loy Mendonca have composed music of the film while Javed Akhtar has penned the lyrics.

Plethora of singers including Suraj Jagan, Raman Mahadevan, Caralisa, Dominique and Farhan Akhtar have lent their voice to the songs of the film.

The film hits the cinema theatres on Friday (August 29).
